
Fredericton which sits on the banks of the Saint John river, is the capital city of the Province of New Brunswick which is located in Eastern Canada or more familiarly known as the Maritime Provinces. Fredericton has the Saint Thomas University, the University of New Brunswick and numerous colleges and schools. The 2 historic Universities, The University of New Brunswick & Saint Thomas University sit quaintly on the on the hillside of downtown Fredericton, overlooking the beautiful picturesque view of the Saint John River.
Saint Thomas is a public Roman Catholic liberal arts university offering degrees in: humanities, liberal arts, education, journalism & social work. Saint Thomas has approximately 3000 enrolled students. Saint Thomas university was established in 1910.
The University of New Brunswick or more commonly known as UNB is the oldest English language University in Canada. UNB offers more then 75 degree programs in both the graduate & undergraduate levels between the Fredericton and the Saint John campuses. UNB is also home to the UNB Varsity Reds, which have dominated CIS hockey program winning 4 National titles in: 1998, 2007, 2009, & 2011. UNB has an approximate enrollment of 11,400 students.
